Beautiful looking Toyota Motorhome. That's my idea of what a motorhome *should* be. It's large enough to live in comfortably, but small enough, and hopefully familiar enough if you've driven a Toyota truck, that you can drive it almost anywhere without needing a special driver's license. If I were to buy one, I'd keep it as original as possible, but I'd also upgrade a few things. :)

Those are good upgrades. I'd also have a reverse camera, to see what's behind me when I reverse, among the many upgrades.

Glad you like your motor home as I loved my 1979 Toyota mini motor home as I was forced to sell and miss it dearly.

Pretty cool video of a nice Toyota Motorhome. I just bought myself a 1987 New Horizon about 2 weeks ago and I am still learning the ins and outs of the vehicle. Just found out why my Onan 3.0RV generator didn't seem to be producing any electricity. I guess the former owner forgot to plug the external electricity wire into the 220 outlet in the electricity compartment. I really thought the generator that ran fine (only 30 hours on it) needed service. Tomorrow, I fill up the water compartments and see if that works as advertised. Thanks for showing me your great looking camper ! (your video effects are great !)

The Dolphin is a standard wood frame\with metal over it and multiple rivets. It's cute, and they're nice, but the fiberglass RVs are MUCH LESS likely to leak. Cute, and thanks for showing.

amigo tx IT TOOK ALMOST A YEAR BUT I FINALLY GOT THE RIG I WAS LOOKING FOR. FOUND IT ON CL IN HAYWARD, CA WITH 75K MILES. STILL NEED TO UPGRADE BUT WILL NOT TAKE THAT MUCH. DROVE IT HOME 225 MILES WITH NO PROBLEM. LITTLE SLOW GOING UP THE SIERRAS TO RENO BUT WE GOT HOME SAFE.... THANKS AGAIN FOR THE VID.

The cameraman must have worked for Motorweek in the 80s, because the TV grade cinematography just to sell a piddly little motorhome is off the chart.

It had a gas burner motor and would get 12 to 14 mpg

Think the best I was able to get is around 14 mpg

I have 1987 not as clean as this one but its fairly ok for its age, floor and exterior are almost the same but the engine is smaller, 4 cylinder 22R with automatic trans.

I am looking for one to buy, got anything for sale???

So where do you put your gyro in there?

The first thing I would be asking is what work was done to correct the known defective cylinder head on that 3.0 6cyl?

I dont think there is a towing capacity, I could be wrong but I think they don't advise towing. The v6 I had would probably struggle bulling a car but a light trailer would probably be fine. If you want to pull a light geo then get one of those dodge freightliner rv's. I would like to have one of those.

@@GyroGerald thanks...i'm debating whether to spend the money on any RV or not. Maybe just buy a truck, haul my stuff to my property across country, live in a tent, and build a tiny house. It's like...Do I spend money on a cheap RV or put that money towards a truck and building materials?

Been gone

The only downside is the 4 cylinder engine which means it won't make it up in the mountains...my buddy had one and we tried to go up there and that lil shitbox almost blew up lol...its good for the flatland or tail gating but to put a 4 cylinder in a RV is just a colossal stupidity

Yeah I used to have one just like it a warrior my mom my mom bought it for she left me my money and Ibought the thing and I thought I was going to be able to keep it but the cops didn't think they wanted me to keep it I guess because they took it unlawfully threw me and my elderly dog out on the street on the hottest day in of the year 2016 falsely charged me and just so they could tow my MH and Dog died a month later I paid almost $11,000 for that motorhome and it was well worth it tell they decided they wanted itthey also told me I told my large motorhome inside was completely stripped outit was very good that way cuz I could build it the way I want exterior was looking good but they towed it twice cause they decided they didn't want me to have ever Anyything to live in because people don't know how to vote in this world anymore rub my Rockwood

6 Lug diff is great, but 3.0 Liter v6 is an underdesigned joke compared to the Toyota 3.4 v6
