I see Silvagni AGAIN claiming, at 1:30, he touched the ball as it crossed the line (a la Michael Long 3 years later in Grand Final). The thing is, he probably DID touch it, but how is the goal umpire able to decide in an instant. They struggle now with replays!!!

Silvagni spent his career claiming he'd touched everything on the line!

SOS back then still claiming he's touched everything 😂 Had good form for the umpire not pay touched in the 93 grand final

Much rather watch these games than the modern stuff. Can't stand the commentary now especially BT and James Brayshaw

As a Carlton supporter this was the first game I went to round 3 1990 against St Kilda.

Thin pickings in those days, but imagine what it would have been like without SoS.

Sheldon must have really had it in for Craig Devonport. Getting benched after playing well in 1st quarter, as stated at 36:45. Remember when Sheldon grabbed him by the scruff of the neck a year or 2 later

Would you have round 2 seven’s big league from 1990 as well?

I do, but I got it from someone who doesn't want it uploaded, so I won't be uploading that. The replays were St. K v WCE and Carl v Coll.

@@aussie80s I'm guessing that's where the Scot Palmer clip at the start of this video comes from. Were there any unusual ads that week?

Hi Aussie80s, I'm after the Friday night match and Sunday match (with ads) from R21 1989. Is there some way we can discuss privately? (Happy to pay $$$ or maybe trade is possible?)

Does this mean you're changing the name of the channel?

Haha, no, but I will be uploading early 90s replays for the next few months as the format was still similar to the 80s and I've run out of 80s episodes to upload. The name of the channel came from the fact that when I first set it up I was uploading 1980s Australian music but then changed to football. My 80s music channel is now Aussie80ss with an extra 's' on the end
