I think I did a spit take the first time I saw this spot (Good thing I just happened to be recording Yogi Bear that day...) Some great animation of Ed Roth's monster characters!
Жүктеу.....

I was the copywriter who dreamed this spot up. To my knowledge it's the only time that Rat Fink ever spoke, so I got to give him the voice. It was a great experience working with Ed Roth. I still have notes from Ed during the animation process commenting on the progress, "fatten him up" as well as the original animation frames. My only copy exists on a decaying 3/4" video so I was excited to find this (at my 27 year olds request.)

When a rat fink is done in he still makes a face and still is unwilling. That means he is on to you even though he is not around. It is like depositing money in the bank and the bank goes out of business one hour later. Your money is there still but the place of business is no longer functioning. Why does it seem like the same story but with a different scenario -- all the time?

Roth said he hated them , they did'nt look like classic hot rods , and he hated the "Lipstick " look on Rat Fink.
