The Cougars in this clip were based on the seventh-generation Mercury Cougar XR7, which was based on the MN12 platform it shared with the Ford Thunderbird. The street version was powered by a 3.8-liter version of Ford's Essex V6 (built in Windsor, Ontario, Canada instead of Essex, England, despite its name).

so are all the 1989 1990 races with the audi quattro non existent? im dying to see that thing in action in a full race...

Robby should've stayed in road racing...he's way better at it than he is at oval racing.
