This was the final year we played the legendary closer "Putting it Together." This was also the final year we marched the bells (Lisa Otten and Kat Gardner had those "honors"). We started the season with no Pit at all, but the judges were applying pressure to stop the archaic practice of marching the bells. So, by the end of the season we had the first rudimentary Pit in Ram Band history, but we kept the bells on the field for the first half of the show. We also won the HISD Battle of Bands for the first time, beating Bellaire after a long rivalry. The rumor from the upper classmen was that if we beat Bellaire, Mr. Stephens would allow us to call him "CJ." But, of course, when we tried to collect on this bet, he shot us down... hard.
