Think they ran this opening theme for the next 8-10 years or so. It was never better before or after for me. Something about that music and they way Gifford read the opening script. Miss it.

But with a predictable ending. Parcells owned Gibbs. Swept his team in 86, 88, 89 and 90. Gibbs won in 87 but that was a strike year and the giantz organization was screwed up. In a normal operating season, gibbs was owned by parcells

From 1988 to 1990 the Giants had the Redskins number. 1991 the Redskins were unstoppable, but not having Parcells did have a significant impact on the Giants and that includes Belichick going to the Browns as their head coach.

I like how the Defense chased him down right to the goaline . Todays game they stop chase and players celebrate before crossing and I just can't stand that. The tackler that missed Meggett was Alvin Walton who was a sure handed tackler and a great hitter. So that was a very impressive TD.

Not really Montana went on to win 2 more superbowls it was the hit by marshall in 90 championship game that shortened montana s career He went on to play 2 seasons with the chiefs

That would be Leonard Marshall that shortened Montana's career with that hit in the 1990 NFC Championship game. Jim Burt was on the 49ners during the same game. However, he did level Montana in a playoff game a few years earlier, won by the Giants 49-3.
