My grandfather had one of these back when i was a kid in the late 90s and into the early 2000s. Same color. He sold it due to just wanting a newer truck. That was in princess anne Maryland. He bought a 94 Fld with the mid sleeper in it. A darker green with a couple white and lighter green zigzags in it. Look these up when im thinking of him. Always loved semis thanks to him. And he loved him a good old frieghtliner.all he drove when he drove for himself before he sold it and semi retired. He drove a crab truck once a week in a 1992 kenwroth daycab for another 3 or 4 years. Hed go from crisfeild to baltimore and back. I still wanna find both those freightliners one day. Such a big part of my childhood go to florida and alabama Michigan with my popop over the summer. He drove for purdue foods in the 70s - 92. Then he bought a truck just like this one worked for himself until 2009. 17 years was able to buy and sell 2 different trucks made a cushy profit and had enough to walk away when he wanted too. All by himself.

Nice ol cabover...I loved seeing them out on the road back in the day and still do. I think these rigs, as long as they’re not too far gone, are worth putting back together and placed back on the road, even to just show them. I have a 95 IH 9670 from Walmart that is just setting for now until I can get it ready again. Porter Dude of Ohio.

👍🏽🙂Your International-Harvester COE is is a PERFECT restoration project🥰🇺🇸 I’d jump on THAT! My friend Ira has a ‘49 IH Loadstar I have bought already and need to restore, but International’s have played an important part in my life so-far and is the reason I am not giving up on the Loadstar. It need’s to be COMPLETELY rebuilt!🐾😈 (it’s 70 year’s old so it’s a classic now!😁)

@@Aleiria13 🇺🇸 1949 Loadstar...what a good piece of trucking history! 🤩 It should be fun to tear into and restore. Hope that you share some pics of that truck with us. You won’t see too many of them out there! I do remember some of the old Loadstars/Transtars from back in the day...many companies in my town had them. I love the old trucks...many of us saw them or even rode in them growing up. My family has been into trucking since before he 1930s...trucks have changed a lot since then! We’re helping my brother with his Ford CL9000 now and will get back onto my 9670 soon. FYI: I also have a 1951 REO wrecker that I’m gonna work on this year. If you like more truck action, check us out. Thanks for the encouragement. 🤩

My pops had an 87. Leaf springs all around. No air ride, no air cab, no air seats. Talk about rattling your brain. After a week, he got the seats installed.

Could someone tell me, I would love to have a cabover just like that. If I were to find a coe identical to that and run it OTR would DOT give me a hard time? I just don't have $40-$50k to sink in to restore it. I just love the old coe and they are the way of life. Thankyou

I run a old cabover 3 years now I’ve found dot doesn’t wanna bother with you most of the young officers don’t even know how to inspect a cabover and the old guys don’t want to wait for you to secure all your stuff on the cab and wait for you to jack the cab up so I just keep mine clean organized and under 80,000 they let me roll on only time I was stopped the officer just wanted to see it told me it’s the coolest truck he has seen in years
