Thanks so much for uploading this race, the late 80s/early 90s is one of my favorite periods in NASCAR.

Thank for loading this race! 1989 was my favorite year and Ken Schrader was my favorite driver (I love the Folgers 25 since Tim Richmond and the 1986 season) so I liked all of this period.....

Also, at 1:50:00 it's great to watch Davey Allison and Alan Kulwicki racing each other! I really miss them being around the sport.....

If there was any driver in NASCAR with bad luck, it was Ken Schrader. He was one of my favorites too and should have won many more races!

Yeah man, Schrader's bad luck was in full force in '89 and even worse in the 1990 Daytona 500 when he had to come from the back and did. And had the fastest car by a long way, and half way through blew up the motor. Everyone remembers the race for Earnhardt losing a tire on the last lap, but had Schrader not lost his motor Earnhardt's tire wouldn't have been his biggest problem. It would have been that 25 car....

I always wondered why when any time they used to mention Derrike Cope, they always had to bring up the fact that he was from Washington

I met someone related to him when I was stationed up there in the early 2000s who claimed that all the cars he got to drive were "junk" which I just kind of laughed at because he was super lucky to get the Daytona win and only won 1 other race that I remember and I dont know that he was ever really in the top 5 anywhere else ever again lol

Failed to Qualify: 70 J.D. McDuffie, Robert Pressley (R), Ronnie Thomas, Tracy Leslie (R), Charlie Baker (R), & H.B. Bailey. For newer fans who don't recognise the analysts joining Ken Squier; Johnny Hayes (he has the Carolina accent), a representative for Skoal & Copenhagen, and Winston Cup veteran Joe Ruttman, who was rideless for much of the season.
