Always have a soft spot for this car as it is thr first car I owned but a 4 door hatch back reg 1984. Have to check the shifter link. The interior is solid as thr leather seats are Braun Buffel and love the 4 button steering. Thinking of getting thr cabriolet version to relive the good times last 20 year.

I completely have to agree on that! I take my driving lessons in an 2018 a class Mercedes. My golf is waayyyy harder to drive!

@@bmg_boa9314 The only real challenge is learning to get out of 1st smoothly and without stalling. The other parts of it are easier to get a hang of.
white roof on black golf is a no go
Isn’t the hydraulics not working on the soft top,there’s not many where the roof works
