One of their best and most criminally underated albums but damn, Het's 88 vocals take this to a whole new level of awesome

Death magnetic is an epic album that could have easily been released before or after the black album, but with better guitar and drum tones and no dynamic compression and of course 1988-1992 Hetfield Vocals, even though the ones on the album are great.

We need to combine this with state of mercury’s remakes for the ultimate Metallica remakes. Now we can listen to the albums the way we always wanted to.

Too bad the production was awful. But yes, the songwriting was on point. Maybe a little too thought to be similar to AJFA, but still a great album.

To be honest, James try to replicate Freddy Mercury raspy voice like in Stone Cold Crazy song. He's not able to do that these days.

Death Magnetic always felt to me like a "Justice Part 2", it has the complex riffs and song structure, even the questionable audio decisions, but I never liked it that much because I always felt there was something missing that would have made it amazing. After hearing the 1:43 minute now I know what it is. It's a real tragedy to music what happened to James voice mid 90's.

This is, without a shadow of a doubt, the best ai-Hetfield stuff I've ever heard. I don't really care for the specific song, but this TOTALLY sounds like his 1988 voice.

What's cool is that the original vocals don't sound all that far away from '88 James.

is the ai program you used, work as if you upload the isolated track and transforms it into the ai version? very clean. I wrote a song with AJFA tone and the way i did the lyrics was one word at at time and piece them together 🤣🤣🤣 this way would seem way easier Sounds great

Biggest tragedy in metal without anyone getting sick hurt or killed is Hettfield loosing that voice. ☹️ It's painful listening to him try for high notes now in other songs, not this one though.

  • @DimeDCSGO

Not reverb, he doubled and panned the vocals and put a slight delay on one of the tracks. This is done a lot but normally sounds better because the vocalist will actually do 2 takes instead of just copying the first one. Copying the first vocal makes it sound chorusy
