I AGREE ALTHOUGH BLACK ALBUM HAS A VERY NICE VOICE TOO
@Janjibro6611 ай бұрын
This makes me realize how much I miss James’ old voice. One of the first songs I ever heard aside from Sandman as a younger kid was One and I remember how gruff his voice was and it just defined Metallica for me. I had never heard anything like that before… this was before I was a metal head and I absolutely loved what I heard before I think I even knew of metal as a genre. Anytime the radio would announce a Metallica song I’d be like hey it’s the band with the really gruff sounding singer! Yay! Seriously his voice and what it grew into by Justice and even black album was such a huge part of what made their sound so great. Even just the way he could use that power in between songs yelling at the audience did such an incredible job of getting the audience pumped. Gave the band so much added energy and intensity. I know he blew his voice out once but he got too paranoid after that thinking it was guaranteed to happen again so he stopped doing it. Their music just didn’t have the same energy to it after he started singing clean. He started barking again recently but I noticed he just does little bursts of it here and there proving he could still do it if he wanted to but he just won’t commit to singing like that full time anymore and it sucks cause everytime he has a little burst of bark it just sounds so badass…. Still
