This 1988 Buick Electra Park Avenue is finished in Ruby Red over maroon leather and is powered by a fuel-injected 3.8-liter V6 paired with a four-speed automatic transaxle. Features include 14″ wheels with wire-look covers, a luggage rack, cruise control, woodgrain trim, automatic climate control, and a Delco cassette stereo. The car was acquired by the seller in 2019, reportedly from the original owner’s grandson, and now shows 3k miles. Service under current ownership is said to have included a recent oil change as well as replacement of the battery, radiator, crankshaft position sensor, and air conditioning compressor. This C-body Electra is offered with the removed radiator, a clean Carfax report.
The body is finished in Ruby Red (72) with white pinstripes, and exterior features include silvered lower body trim, power-adjustable side mirrors, chrome-finished bumpers with black rub strips, and a rear luggage rack. Steel 14″ wheels wear wire-look covers and 205/75 Goodyear Vector whitewall tires. Buick-branded mud flaps are fitted at each corner.
The seats are upholstered in maroon leather, and the cabin features a matching dash, carpeting, and door panels. Amenities include woodgrain trim, automatic climate control, power accessories, cruise control, and a Delco cassette stereo with a graphic equalizer. The air conditioning was recharged and the compressor was replaced in February 2020.

I had an ‘88 Park Avenue back in the early 2000’s. Bought it for $1300 with 112k miles. By the time it hit 300k miles, it still drove like a dream. Best car I’ve ever had. These were bulletproof.

glad to hear that you did great on your 88 buick , I bought one 6 months ago in 2022 I paid a little than you $1750. plus gas to go to georgia and get it (but no rust). Would of been more, but dent in rear door & needs air conditioning compressor . I've put 5,000 miles on it. Just wondering (seeing how you drove) an electa park avenue by buick for almost 200k. My gage cluster shows 2 information centers. I think one ech side of speedometer. I've never seen them say anything .Do you think mine is empty, or all 1988 buick electra park avenues have the information option. I wish it had some kind of gages more than a speedometer odometer and gas gauge. Like you, I have done nothing but, enjoy driving it . I do need some part replaced on the air rear dynoflow shocks as the pump doesn't shut off till I unplug it, by the inside drivers side up in the front corner of the engine compartment. I just plug it & let it pump a little before use, if I havn't used the car for a while.

Nice! I almost bought a used '88 Park Avenue, but was a fool and told the owner I needed 'to think about it' and when I called back an hour later, it was sold 😢

It is an "Electra Park Avenue" actually because the real Buick Park Avenue came out in 1990 for the 1991 model year and sold for two generations (1991-1996, 1997-2005) until its discontinuation in 2005.

I found a 91 Buick Lesabre Custom at a auto auction maybe over 2 yrs ago. At a auction you can sometimes test drive car on the lot ,before you decide if you want to buy them. Never know what you may find at a auto auction, but remember to check them good, because all cars sell as is, no refunds ..

Always loved this body style Park Ave...It was one of my dream cars back in highschool in 1988..I know, not a normal dream car but you have to realize my dad had a 1980 Camaro which had a small back seat with a huge hump in the middle so trips from FL to WVa were not fun!! I always used to say Daddy, why can't we have a Town Car or a Cadillac or a Buick and he would say those cars are for old farts and a few other not soo nice words...So need less to say my first car had every toy there was on a used 1984 Nissan Datsun 300ZX 2+2..(the only year both names nomenclature was used on the rear decklid..The car had digital dash which talked...Fuel level is low! Right door ajar! etc..full power options because daddy hated power options claiming they always break! In the 80's cars that was not far from the truth!!

Wasn't this very car, the car in the video, at auction for $5k-ish a couple months back? There's you a mark-up. I grew up with one of these and then drove it in high school. Say what you want about that model (ours was a white '88 with red velour), but it drove really well, it was comfortable, and it got pretty decent mileage for what it was.
