I still remember to this day the most memorable thing with this commentary is ‘ they won’t catch this superstar’ . Took some living down I imagine

I can;t get over this is 34 years ago.

I had $500 on Vo Rogue, it was my 21st birthday, that day. Never forget this race.

Alex Spano that was a shocking call half way down the straight, I bet you was half way in the que

He may have lost this one but he set up some fantastic races. One of the most exciting horses to race in Australia.

I picked this horse to win that day against Vo Rogue n Bone Crusher and what a win it was! I'll never forget it and neither will my mate nick.Though i had it at 40/1 on TAB. To me it was still the race of the century!

+rubicon nz Yes the media attention Vo Rogue and Bone Crusher received was amazing, yet i backed Beaten Favourite Dandy Andy. What a great race it was!

Cossack Warrior turned into a handy stallion !!!!!! Sired Qld star Brave Warrior

Bonecrusher was gone but still kept giving to get third .

Bonecrusher and Vo Rogue cost $8,000 to buy. Wish I had that quinella.

The 2nd year in a row that Bruce Almighty mucked up the call.

Thought there was something highly suspect about the Dandy Andy performance back then....and I still think the same today. Vo didn't have an 'off' day: he beat the rest by a big margin, including Bonecrusher. Dandy Andy was a very useful horse, but not in the class of Vo and Bonevrusher.

Bruce fukt up 2 calls..87 and 88

One of the saddest days in racing. To see the might "Vo" go down to a 'sloth' like Dandy Andy was sickening. He was 125/1 for a reason and barely won another race after that. Heavy track was not "Vo's" go either but still nearly held on.

And just like that you dismiss a mighty finish for the winner. 125/1 so what?, nothing to do with Vo being run down. Is why they are called odds.

The winner aside vo rougue did beat a class field of others by 3 lengths plus.....I had so much fun watching this horse race at that time

Lol bonecrusher was not the same horse after catching virus in Japan. Vo Rogue would've ate dust vs peak Crusher.

​@spinmyhead1667 no match for Better Loosen Up....in melb Vo had super impose easily at swfa but Vo was useless in syd and never won a big Randwick mile..Super Impose was the best hcp miler not Vo
