Sounds like a blown fan clutch. Gotta hit the rev match on the downshifts for a real V6 flex.

Hi I had just got the right bracket for it and removed the original one out and used 2 cable addpters to reconnect to the original wiring its easy to do that just need little bit adjustment on the sides

replace your suspension, its very worn out and soft! I have a rust free 1985 4runner SR5 5 speed.

@@classic-4x4 WOW very nice! good job! I had one guy lowball me for 4k on my rust free 4runner. its an SR5 like yours but grey interior, power windows and SR5 emblazoned seats.

If that was Toyota four runner I would replace the manual transmission for a automatic transmission

In that year the auto sucked a lot of power. If you can drive a manual and don't mind it is a better choice.

Automatics SUCK!!! and great things about 5 speed manuals, you can skip a gear when one is bad, you can pop the clutch when battery is dead, and a thief cannot drive a manual if they can't operate a vehicle with a manual transmission.
