I have that exact bike, and to all the people saying its slow, it really isnt. Maxed out 5th gear is 50-55 mph, not including mods. Yes, there are faster bikes put there, but this baby is a classic, and is faster than most budget quads

Yup your 100% correct. That was 4th gear maxed out doing 45. I have 5 gears and I think it could of easily hit 55. And their pretty nice quads, really fun to ride and their on the cheaper side to buy.

I’ll be making a video on this quad soon. Doing a tune up and other stuff. And for the people making fun of it, I really don’t care because this quad is an absolute machine, I towed a double jet ski trailer before with 2 jet skis on it and it handled like a champ. Not every day will you see a quad from the 80’s doing that

I had one. I put so many miles on it that the timing chain broke and wedged itself in the block. I had a friend with a CR500 Enduro that he'd crashed and still had the good engine on it. He wouldn't sell it to me because he knew that 500cc engine would end-up on my Fourtrax. Probably just as well. Can you imagine how it would have been with TWICE the power that this one has?

I still had 5th gear, this was only 4th topped
a 250x is a lot faster than that stock. If you only got 44 there is something definitely wrong with yours.

Yeah, a little bit more of a runway will help with top speed. My road to my house is half a mile, and nobody ever drives on it. I pretty much have my own paved, quarter mile drag strip lol.

@Cookie Monsta I have an aftermarket exhaust, and it sounds very similar to a straight pipe, just not with the consequences of the damage. Not sure how to explain it but it sounds like an actual atv now🤣
