I dig the variety of hulls and power plants in '87. Great times.

Awesome footage, Miss Budweiser and all the other boats from the past looking good, what a time to be racing when the turbine's started taking over. I still have my MRP 1/12 nitro Miss Budweiser modeled after the 87' 88' hull.

I was at that race and I sure miss seeing the Miss Budweiser

Tri-Cites, fast water, great crowds... think there was a streak of about a ten year period where speeds would increase 2-3 mph over the prior year. The technology just kept advancing. This also was our first race with Jim Harvey and George Woods after rebuilding from the fire. Jim and George would eventually bring Oberto our first second victories. Was a fantastic partnership. Lots of familiar faces. Many no longer with us. Enjoy the times we all share.

Loved how Ron S. drove the Madison at that time-gave it all he had and the boat was still fairly competitive at times, too...

The great days of racing! Beautiful Washington boats! Look at those old boats flex. You could tell the old way was over. You just cant pour enough fuel down a piston engine fast enough to win a race this short. Jets will burn all the fuel you got and then your mortgage.

If Ron Snyder ever got a chance to run a big-time hydro like Bud or Atlas- I could just wonder??? Ron nails starts like no one else put Ron in Bud & his starts OOOOHHHHH?

Ron Snyder DID drive Miss Budweiser in 1978. He won the Tri-Cities Columbia Cup that year.

Watched for 47 minutes to see the final race cut down to 2 laps on this video...WTF
