I had an 86 also, same color but 2wd. Bought it in Belleville, Illinois in June 87 at Magna Bank, it was in the parking lot with a for sale sign in the window. I had just finished two years in Germany as a soldier and had two years left and was assigned to Ft Campbell, Ky 101st abn Div. My dad was driving me around town and we'd been talking about me getting a car and that truck just stood out. We went in the bank and told them we would buy it (5400.00 and 17,000 miles). It was a 4 speed manual no AC or power steering, I didn't care, I loved that truck. Four days later I was driving down to Ft Campbell, Ky. I kept the truck until 92. I drove it from Ft Campbell to Sacramento Ca three times. Never should've sold it....I have had four total Toyota trucks and currently have a 2020 Tundra Crewmax 4x4 and a 2005 F250 4x4 with 242,000 miles on it. I'd pay three times what I paid in 87 for another one.
