What a beast. Travelled Europe as a young man in the 80's on the 500 version. Great bike, never let me down.

I was never a big honda fan in the 80s until this bike came out. I'd own one of those today, they are exquisite

Beautiful. I bought one new in 85 Put 11,000 on it the first 2 years. Had to get rid of it in 93. one of the most fun bikes I ever owned. I will buy one again someday.

Bought my 86 from first owner in 87 who needed the money to buy a wedding ring. I still own the bike, I wonder if he is still married?

Beautiful bike! Sounds and looks great. You don’t see these anymore and was THE bike to have back in the mid-1980’s. I saw one at a party in HS and vowed I’d have one some day. I now luckily own two, a Euro spec and US spec version 1985. Only problem I’ve run across is a top end oiling problem when at high revs......easy solution, don’t over-rev her. Lol Good lunch and ride safe! 🤙🙏

I hear they make an aftermarket oiling kit for these bikes. Might want to look into it if you own one.

I think 85 had the dual headlight. This bike was definitely ahead of it's time. My dad bought one of these brand new when I was a kid. I'm 40 now I spent many years riding passenger and hearing that V motor purr. Untill he handed it down to me at 16. I rode her for a couple more years until 3rd gear went out. I swear that bike had endless top end!

my dad's last bike was a bike like this only a 86 modell, i get setimental because he did pick the hole engine into pieces and never got to put it back together... so enjoy your ride if u still hang on to it.. takes me back to 1999, when we did our only ride together and I was scared shitless.. good memory though

Need resistors to slow blink speed, classic ole girl, today slow and outdated but still awesome. Remembered riding these but then the Hurricane 1000 came along!

Resistors? Wouldn't it be better to fix the grounding problem the front two have? Always better to fix the _actual fault_ rather than cut corners and just treat the symptom.

Traded a basket of three late 70's CBX for one of these in 87 it had 1,000 miles on it when I got it and well over 100,000 10 years later. Heavy old girl but smooth as silk that V-4.

Bought mine with less than 3500 miles on it. Perfect bike. But very heavy. Later when I bought a VTR1000 super Hawk track bike it was so much easier to ride. 450 pounds wet. Loved my VFR750 the best. When you are 5'6" and 145 pounds, heavy bikes don't make it easy. Oh. BTW. I did own two CBX1000 Sport Tourers. Really big and heavy.

I believe 84’s were only sold in Europe and some early 85’ that came to the US had both the single and dual lens headlight. I have two 85’s, a US and a Euro version and I have both sets of headlights. I have the dual headlights on my US version.
