1985 North of England vs Chinese Taipei: Match 3 - Jean Parker vs Lin Li-Ju

In 1985 Chinese Taipei competed in their first ever the Gothenburg World Team Championships finishing first in Category 2 in both the Mens and Womens events. Shortly after they visited the Bolton in the North of England and competed in two representative matches against a North of England side consisting of Donald Parker, Steve Turner, Steve Mills, Nigel Eckersley, Stephen Scowcroft, Joy Grundy and Jean Parker.
Jean Parker (now Jean Stokes) is the sister of Donald Parker and a very good player in her own right and was ranked 8 in England in 1985. Jean represented England many times including being a part of the 1985 Commonwealth games England gold medal winning team.
In Preston, Jean played for Deepdale for many years and recently returned to playing in Preston when she signed for Gryf. Jean now plays in the same team as Donald and brother Kevin.

    @@PathfinderPro fair enough, serving straight out of the hand can definitely produce some incredibly difficult to read serves
