The SL65 AMG/black series is on equal footing as far as sound

That Jaguar V12 growl is unique and unmistakable. I could listen to it all day.

I remember hearing this car at the AusGP a few years ago, The volume of the sound caught me by surprise

Still sounds amazing, but I suspect Tom Walkingshaw treated with less respect during the qualifying lap in Mt Panorama back in 1985 😁

If i won the lottery ide love to build one of these Jags for the Muscle car masters.

Memories of my youth right there. Worked for a guy named Gil Smale back when I was a young fella… Him and his partner from Jag Services on Cleveland St Sydney raced one of these each, for Ansett Air Freight at several meetings a year around the tracks.

After the race had finished I could still hear those Jags go up mountain straight from the area behind the pits

Elsewhere here on YT is Tom Walkinshaw's pole-winning lap for the '85 1000 at Mt. Panorama. It is another worth watching. Glorious machines. I'd love to have one like example vintage prepared but streetable for, you know, touring.

I think Ken Purdy, who was an automotive Journalist, described the sound from Walkinshaw V12 Jag as having the sonic finess of a bull farting in a chaff bag.

Yes, that would be a consequece of the group a formula, breathing through a thin straw would be the analogy

the only true mass produced v12 engine in a road car, and the only true European manufacturer to ever win the proper Bathurst 1000

some one should lower one of these jaguars and protrude the fenders out the top to give it a lower profile center

I believe the speed limit is 55mph. He is in danger of getting a speeding ticket and no muffler will get written up too. If people would leave the house a few minutes earlier, there would be no reason to rush.
