Hey, have the same w124 here with door bass speakers and fader button in middle. So i'm wondering, one person sayd that there is no need to cut and do all this stuff with cables, in stead use adaptor called: backer Power speaker to DIN ISO adaptor. Any info about this move and is it better to make it that way?

Probably the best video for these cars I've ever seen. My 1992 190e is similar and you've helped me a great deal. Thank you.

Great video for w124 with the extra amps in rear. Does your power antenna work? Which wire is the antenna power from the car?

Awesome Video. I was wondering did you have to use a stereo installation kit or did it just slide in the stock opening?

Does the antenna still work? The antenna needs to get power from the radio to roll up. What cord is the antenna cord, that connects to the radio for power? The cord you connect from the antenna to the radio in this video is not the power cord. I have a W116 so maybe things are a bit different on my chassis.

later models that did not have the fader switch in the console adhere to an ISO standard for the connections at the back of the stereo. Maybe 1994 on up?

Hello. Is there a way i could hide the wires the same way on my 1990 190e 2.6? I'm planning on wiring the 4 new replacement speakers i got directly to the single din head. that a good idea? Thank you.

So I have a 1995 Mercedes E-300 diesel and I am planning on putting in a sub and amp as well as a new head unit. It is my understanding that there is two different metra harnesses for this vehicle there is the amp integration model number 70-1786, as well as the non amp number 70-9401. I do not have the same fader control button that this vehicle had, mine was purely run by my head unit. So does that mean that I don't have the amp? Crutchfield recommended that I get the non amp version but metra said it may use either one. As well I guess I could run new speaker wire and install like you have in this vehicle. However, after just having done this in my ram and realizing how difficult it can be I don't know if I am quite ready to do it again yet! Any help would be greatly appreciated thank you!

Sounds like you have a ground loop issue. Try grounding your radio to a better location, or use a ground loop isolator.

The reason is, you have entered the wrong code 3 times, then the radio is blocked for 10minutes with "WAIT" written on the screen. Fastest way, disconnect the battery and connect again, then radio is reset to code entry. Enter the code properly, its done.
