Those cards are in a certain order just like 89 fleer. Whoever has those cards pulled out the packs with mattingly in it. They send the mixed packs in to get graded as a sealed box

That jay johnstone card is one of my favorites. He sadly passed away in the last couple years. He wrote a book awhile back. He was a real goofy dude.

Again, i opened many, many boxes of this product as well as all Fleer products back in the day for all years. While the packs in this box were not "re-wrapped", it was definitely "searched", 100%, for sure. The 2 best cards were Mattingly and Boggs. It was probably searched a couple of years after release. All unsearched cello boxes would yield a complete set, 660 cards, with a few doubles left over. I enjoy your videos, it brings back alot of memories. I'm 68 now, i was in my late 20s, early 30s when i opened Fleer boxes. As i responded before, all cards were collated the same as placed in the factory sets. It was real easy to just look at the top/bottom card and tell if a Mattingly card was in that pack. Nobody, i repeat nobody, can just look at any loose box and inspect the packs and tell if it has never been searched. It's not possible. The ONLY way to tell for sure if a random box was not searched was to get a box from a sealed case, although many cases were also resealed over the years.

One thing I liked about Fleer is they would have their card number in order by team by the way they finished with the World Series winner first and counting down and ABC order. So you sorted the cards, it would sort by team.

Re that Luis Pujols card (10:26): Yes he is related to Albert Pujols. Luis was a good defensive catcher but couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat. Believe it or not, Larry Herndon (17:03) was a minor league teammate of Randy "Macho Man" Savage. Oooooooh yeaaaaahhh!

Because he had a contentious relationship with the media and other players. As much as it shouldn’t, your attitude plays a role.

That '93 Upper Deck card where he's holding his own card is Mike Perez, teammates with Alicea on the Cards.

Happy with the Jim Rice and a Van Slyke rookie isn’t too shabby either.

Robin Yount was a great shortstop until a shoulder injury ruined a great live arm. Brewers moved him to left field but it took him a couple of years for him to make adequate throws out there but he worked at it and was pretty decent his last few years.
