Welcome back, ladies and gentlemen! This is the engine I used to test the previous restoration, I got a lot of requests to restore the engine next, so here is part two. I really enjoy engine restorations, so I did not hesitate to do this one next!
Thank you for your time!

Thanks! I love them too, simple and effective little engines.
Great idea to use masking tape to cover up the holes to keep the media blasting martial out of the parts of the engine block as far as the engine paint use to be by hat Briggs and Stratton made it don't know if they still do that great to see you doing a restoration on this classic engine AJ

Thank you! Yes it keeps out most of the blasting media, but not all of it, at least it protects the inside of the engine, especially the cylinder.
Not just a "will it run" video. This was a for sure a real restoration style video. Really like the attention to details, like decals and the quality prep and paint efforts... As a suggestion, a project centered around an older motorcycle engine, modified somewhat to suit your new purpose, and given the real restoration treatment, not just a fix it up or will it ever run again video. You have the skill set to do things like that. It would obviously take more than one episode, but something like a Mo-Ped motor onto a paddle boat for recreation purpose, or a similar take on a motor or device that serves as a new and different purpose would be well worth our time for 3 or even more episodes... Keep up the great work here.

Thank you buddy! I do plan on doing a older bike engine, still searching for a suitable candidate with good spare parts availability.
You have a great talent. I’ve seen nothing you can’t restore. Some really old hand tools would be cool to see you restore also. You make these engines better than when they were new. Amazing job A.J.

Those old hand tools are hard to find in my country sadly. Old-timers hold on to them.
Excellent.

Nice. Did you mean to edit out the filling with oil. Looks a bit funny taking cap off and putting back on.

I just showed there is oil in, I know someone would tell me not to run the engine without oil haha
Nice job

I am busy upgrading the oven to a bigger one, but I am having some minor issues to figure out before its usable.

@@AJRestoration Thanks for the update. I'm sure it will be a great addition.
Thank you, nice job. Is there no need to grease or oil the clutch/starter balls??
Nice resto but did You adjust the valve play and did You hone the bore and change the rings? It is very important to keep what compression You already have in those engines.
@AJRestoration

The valves and piston rings were still in spec, If I replaced the rings I would hone the cylinder, otherwise there is no need for honing.
Good looking job about how 🤔 many hours did you have in the project? Now will you keep this engine?or you sell it or give it away 😊

This took me at least 90 hours to do. Its going to be part of a display shelf I am planning to build for the workshop.

Do you know if these use metric threads or UNF etc? I have an engine apart but have lost one of the ignition coil bolts.
