The big card that got me hooked to start collecting was when I was a kid age 7 in 87 and I got the 83 Tony G rookie. That was my first big time card! then as a 9 yr old in 89 living near Seattle, I started snagging Kenny G. Jr. cards!

Classic Cards it was a good box. Spoiler alert: No Boggs, but I think we saw just about everyone else. I’m always weary of the older boxes due to pack searchers, but I’d say this one was safe.

Yeah, that was a good box Jon! Thanks for the fun. I’m always a little more skeptical of wax packs than cello packs, but ya just never know! Hahaha love how the “Omen Watch” list has grown! Also...I don’t think I’ll ever be able to look at that Nolan Ryan the same😂

We would have no recourse but to counter with our own army of angry Joey Belles that have but one directive...to drop the Fernando Vina treatment on all of our enemies. I think I'm delirious. On that note, I'm going back to sleep!

You may be on to something, actually. This could be the future of relic cards... Can you even imagine pulling a "1 of 1" featuring actual player DNA? I wonder what an Enos Cabell afro relic would fetch...Or, perhaps a card that includes 1/16th gram of Joe Niekro fingernail filing dust?!? Now those are chase cards that I could get behind...

Upon further review, I might consider making an attempt to clone Tom Veryzer if given the opportunity, so maybe Player DNA Relic Cards aren't the greatest idea after all! We don't need China making a bunch of Mike Trout clones from Player Chewed Gum. If they did, then followed that up with training the Trout Clones to do battle, our way of life could be changed forever...

@@thepastisalive holy crap, just today myself and my friend drove around Lehigh, Berks, Montgomery Co's in search of vintage wax anything. After 8 hours and 3 dozen stops at endless amounts of antique places and flea markets, only 1 place had 1 opened box of Video City and Roger Rabbit cards. They had 1 Donruss 91 baseball box with packs for .25c - so this is why the $8 shipping charges has become the norm. The era has basically ended in Eastern Pennsylvania. Forget Philadelphia co. as well

@@thepastisalive i did forecast the time involved to go to Blairsville and Duncantown, it's 4 1/2 hours west 1 way. All in all, be like a 10 hour roundtrip with storetime. With all the KZread shows opening thousands of boxes weekly and everything including the kitchen sink, within a year these places themselves will no longer maintain "inexpensive" boxes. You'll/we'll still be able to get them, but at exponential prices. It's gonna get exciting very soon...the have'rs and the have nots
