1983 American Standard Plebe Toilets!
I love these and they are my favorite 3.5 gallon toilet of all time. Despite the first one being cracked, I have not and do not plan to smash it.

That's a lot of toilets!
My house that we live in currently had 3 American Standard Plebe's, 2 were 1982 (block logo with Plebe below it), and 1 was from 1985 (all caps, no block, gold color, Plebe below it). All of the Plebe's were unfortunately replaced in 2019 with a Kohler Wellworth in the upstairs master bath, a TOTO Drake (which is always clean and almost never clogs) in the upstairs hall bathroom, and an absolutely WORTHLESS BOWLRINSLESS POS Glacier Bay in the downstairs Half bath. The hall bathtub upstairs has the same logo from 1985. It was tiled with beige tiles, and it had a matching beige ceramic towel rod on the wall opposite from the shower head. It is the only remaining American Standard fixture original to the house when we moved in.

That sucks! The Plebes were so much better.
Interesting finds. I’ve got a later model plebe in my master bath - late 80s (all caps gold logotype, no square logo). All original parts, except for the handle, chain and flapper - fill tower, overflow tube, float ball, all original. Thing still runs like the day it rolled off the line, hasn’t jammed once.

Amazing! When I was younger, I had a round one from 1987 with the cursive logo and it had the original fill valve and flush valve but I'm not sure what else. Just like yours, it didn't clog once. The only exception is when I flushed toys but that doesn't count.
OBEY THE PLEBE!

Obey the Plebe or else
I have two American Standards in my 1986 built home. One is a 85 Plebe. Flushes well, quickly, completely and fills fast. The other is a 85 I believe Cadet as it has a larger trap and tank. It flushes slower and fills slower. Always wondered why they used two different models. The plebe is in the bedroom with larger bath and the small powder room has the larger size cadet. We have a third bathroom but no clue what was originally installed. I removed a URC Astoria from it a few years ago (obviously a replacement) and now have a pressure assist round bowl Mansfield. Gets the job done. Looking to buy a condo next year and already plan to find some 1980s toilets if they have crappy low flow junk installed. “Save water flush the low flow 3 plus times so it doesn’t clog or flush a 80s model once”

I think the 3.5 gallon toilets are the most efficient to be honest, I've had great experiences with the 80s Plebes especially. It seems like the low consumption ones always require extra cleaning or they clog too much.
That Beneke seat looks the nicest of those three.

Yeah, it looks vintage too.
These toilets are my favorite toilet from the 80’s the flushes are usually quick on them and a very good bowl rise and power.

First time I've seen an elongated Plebe flushing. Seems to be much shorter and stronger than the elongated Cadet of the 1960's, which had a longer flush, much more water, and the siphon pull quite weak at the end. Round bowl Cadets were the best performers.

These elongated Plebes are some of my favorites
Occ you should do test on all 3 of these to see which one does better, cause you never know, one might be better than the other
