When, it appears to have like two metals in it that has the appearance of lines on the coin. It is a Mint error. It has due to an improper mixture of the metals in the coin and is normally referred to as a "Woody". Due to the wood grain like appearance. It's not super valuable though it just depends on its grade and eye appeal.

I have both as you described, although to be 100% sure I'll need to buy a coin scale. Plus have them graded Do have Red & Brown, ive been told there is a coin shop close to me here in my neighborhood; will need to go there one day. Althoigh $268.00 is far from the the 🤑$10,000.00🍀you show on the introduction of the video Ty Sincerely, Susie in Florida🌌

Good video, but not all zinc cents feature the bubbles, even under high magnification. In fact, I'd say the vast majority of my thousands of BU zinc cents have no bubbling at all. The best way to determine the composition is with an accurate scale.

i have a 1982 small date D but it just looks copper real shiny . doesnt have any bubbles or anything

The other way to find out is the large date is closer to the rim small date has more room between the date and the rim.

Weigh it. Zinc is 2.5 and bronze/copper is 3.1 grams

i have 1982 zinc LARGE DATE 1C & at the back have less readable letters

It looks like the 9 on this 1982 coin you just demonstrated .. .but it's turned upside down to look like a 6 on this 2016 one cent coin...

I have a few colleges that have waist their life looking for this penny, that only exists 2 of them, this error took 34 years to be discovered this penny was minted 1982 and the first one was discovered was in 2016 and 2nd one 2018 by a anonymous What a coincidence that the guy that found it live in a state that u can remain anonymous. The mint haven’t add 1982d small date hasn’t be name on the variants of that year 1982 cause only are known 2 so my advice Numismatic is not just this freaking penny is more Coins out there that yes u can find them in circulation like the extra leave quarters etc. And this pennies one sold for 13K the other 18K so don’t know where that price came from because this penny only are 2 of them and the owners haven’t sold it.

I watched the video, then read all the comments. It looks as though these are not as rare as they have been made out to be because every body has at least one. So the market has been flooded with them and now they are worth 1 cent i suppose. Any one have rolls of 82 d pennies? I do 2 rolls, and a jar full of loose ones.
