We had that same LG dishwasher and had so many problems with it. They are prone to a number of different failures including the mainboard and the water pump. Parts are extremely expensive to replace and we had a hell of a time finding anyone that actually worked on the LG brand in our area. Don't be surprised if you end up replacing it within 2-3 years.

I bought an LG TV and after 18 months the internet wouldn't connect to it so I went on a deep dive and found all of these people with the same issue so it's obviously planned to break around the 18 month mark so I'll never buy anything from LG ever again.
super pumped to watch this whole series!
Kind of funny that home depot wanted Johnny to advertise for them but managed not to send him the appliances he hand picked from their store 😂 not the best look for them

Supply chain issues.
Go, go Johnny go! great video.
I know everyone wants white kitchens, but they are a pain to keep clean. Been there, done that. I highly recommend staying away from white. There are plenty of light, bright colors and shades that are easier to keep clean. You can also have medium color cabinets and still have a bright kitchen. The right lighting, with the correct color temperature and CRI can make any kitchen look bright and open.
A big hello from France. A beautiful project for this kitchen. I can't wait to see what happens next in your kitchen design. Thank you for your videos. Pierre
The crown moulding on those cabinets i hope he saved them :(
Excellent, Jonny! Looking forward to the build!!! 😃 Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Very cool can’t wait to see it finished
Be kind to each other. Stay safe. Love to all
How exciting. I love LG and Samsung. Have a blast!
I Love Katie. She is so fun!
We remodeled our late 80's kitchen 5 years ago. White cabinets, white subway tiles, white appliances....it is a dark galley style....and dark gray stilstone countertops. We had what I guess you could call a butlers pantry, that was made that way off the kitchen because they added on a laundry room. It already had the Kraftmade cabinets I wanted, so we turned it into the coffee room that holds pantry things and a small freezer. I really love my Bosch dishwasher. I have always dreamed of a gas stove, but that would be a major construction project. PS...never get a silestone sink, they never look clean.
As someone who works with kitchen cabinets and remodelling, that all white kitchen is gonna need redone in a few years. White seems great and clean at first, but hands and rags are going to leave dirt a grime all over.
Pre-manbun kitchen makeover.
Haha. Your daughter is a good sport
Personally, after remodeling our Kitchen/Dining room instead of it being all solid white, maybe paint the cabinets a sort of gray, not too dark to be black, but light enough to contrast with all the white. Either way, I bet it will look beautiful in the end!

Agree. It’ll still lighten up the space but make it look better because it’s not just all white

I'd vote for a light blue on the uppers and a shade of green for the lowers. Make it look like a grassy knoll, but then break that visualization with a non-white marble or granite counter.
I'm thinking, apple pie 😂
I'm just curious what did you do with your old appliances?

I went to Lowe's........ Peasant. 🤣
got the tlc acting down 👌
Whatever LG or Samsung appliances you bought, send them back!
Can we talk about that front door?
Did you send everything to Habitat for Humanity or just went to the landfill? Just wondering

Gave away and landfill. Habitat for Humanity refused everything I offered.

Replacing a Sub-Zero for a Bosch or anything else for that matter is ridiculous.
1:16 is where the red flags go up. gas is the worst, least efficient way of cooking, for many reasons. if i ever get a chance to build my house, i'll go for induction which is by far the best method, second to none. 2:33 those double-door fridges aren't the best in terms of efficiency, because they just don't seal as tight as a single door. and those with drinks dispensers on the outside are even worse. 4:22 is that all one unit? and last but not least, i wouldn't go for a white kitchen. YMMV but i prefer wood. call me old-fashioned but i prefer your old kitchen to what i think the new one will be like.

Wood is definitely a good choice. I think HGTV has ruined people because of the all-white cabinetry trend. Not to mention the open shelves, painted brick and subway tile trends.
Why oh why do you Americans always go for gas stoves!? We already know that induction is about 100x more efficient and works just as quickly.

So when the electricity goes out you can still use a gas stove.

Home Depot is horrible. You have a better chance of getting struck by lightning than you do getting help by someone who has any inkling of product knowledge at my local Home Depot.
