Well, Marshall couldn't believe that he kept missing the pocket in the 8th, 9th, & 10th. He was one of the elite bowlers on the tour and he typically strings strikes in key frames. I went to Overland Park, Kansas in 1981 and watched Marshall bowl in person which was more than fascinating. He was bowling incredibly good. Making telecasts left and right. He looked unstoppable. He actually later said the following year that in '81, he had "visions of conquering the world". He's a really nice guy off the lanes. And a flamboyant go-getter with flair on the lanes. "Bo" Burton used to call him "All world" and Mr. Magnificent because he had such a great & complete package of the mental and physical aspects of bowling at the professional level. It took Marshall another six years before he became PBA Player of the Year but what an illustrious career he enjoyed.

Man, Mark Roth bowled so fn violent. Stomping to the line and just torqueing the hell out of the ball. The pins just exploded. What a legend. Godfather of cranking power . Sadly missed 😞

Marshall Holman puts a tremendous amount of roll on the ball.

You say this about every bowler. The key word is 'bowler'. These guys are professional bowlers! THEY ALL PUT A TREMENDOUS AMOUNT OF ROLL ON THE BALL!! That would like saying 'Mario Andretti really steers that car well'. Well, no shit...lol 👍 😆

It's a shame that management let Forum Bowl become a run-down dump

3:08 Bo's M.O....starting trouble, bringing up past failures and just generally antagonizing. I never realized this until recently. Just watch when he interviews people...maybe he was doing it to increase the tension for good games, but it comes off dickish to me sometimes now that I really listen to him.
