Back in 1981, almost of the same age as you, I missed you in the FortKochi beach bench; or, if I had met you there, and got inducted in your group, probably I also would have had a share of the great experiences as you. Now, I feel extremely jealous about you! Because, those days, cycling was a great passion for me always dreaming about roaming the world in a bicycle! I grew up in Ernakulam, and I owned an old Raleigh bicycle gifted to me by my mother. I never got a better gift ever since which gave me more pleasure. As a young man, I used to ride with great pride and passion through the numerous alleys and roads in the town. Chasing the city buses packed with college beauties peeping through the rear glasses was a usual heroic like exercise. Taking the cycle on a passenger boat across to Willington Island, and on the Jangar to Vypeen was another pastime that gave me immense joy. If my happiness was so boundless in those experiences in a small town and its surroundings, I can't imagine the amount of joy and jubilation you might have experienced throughout the journey across continents covering 35000 kms spanning two years!! Unimaginable! Wonderful!! Much enviable!!! Listening to your story was truly enchanting. An illustrated paperback of your amazing travel could be an instant sellout. Also, many thanks to the interviewer Mr Shijo for bringing out this wonderful, motivating and inspiring travel diary. God bless you all.
