Jim Crockett Promotions was later bought by Turner Broadcasting System in October 1988, changing its name to World Championship Wrestling (WCW), where its best known for the infamous revolving door of bookers, Hulk Hogan coming to WCW, the New World Order, the launch of WCW Monday Nitro, the Monday Night Wars between Raw and Nitro, Vince Russo putting the final nail in the coffin for WCW and the final day of WCW's existence. RIP WCW October 1988-March 26, 2001. BTW, one day after WCW closed its doors, TNT signed a deal to broadcast NASCAR races with NBC, replacing sister network TBS.
