I heard mine looked similar. CHP called me one day. Same beautiful “Root beer Brown Metallic” (Star something Metallic) 79, not 80. Regular bed not “Stepside”. I just about cried when the Patrolman told me the condition of my old truck. You have brought a little bit of solace to this old man by you rescuing this beautiful piece of history. I hope that you have stories you can tell your kids about this. I tell my kids (again & again), the grandkids, & now the great grandkids. Enjoy, but be safe.

Neat find. My dad had a Warlock and it got wrecked and they had no more so he bought a 78 Ford step side which he still has today

I got a 93 w150 , I put a 78 lil red Express truck bed on it, sits as high as your truck, I got a 4 inch skyjacker lift. These step sides look really good lifted

@@JasonTx05 from what I understand, just finding a step side bed for these trucks is pretty hard to do, they come available every now and then, I found one on marketplace a few months ago, guy was taking apart a little red Express truck, said the only reason he was taking it apart was the truck had a 318 instead of the 360, said it didn't have the original engine, but somewhere I read on the internet or may have been a Mopar guy, but it was said that not all little red Express trucks or midnight express truck or warlock trucks got the 360. But he was selling the bed for a very low price of 400$ with one little tiny spot of rust on the fender and still had the original wood flooring. So I made the three hour drive and snatched up. Couldn't turn it down, now he's trying to find a fleet side bed for it, which is also hard to find.

I have a couple others on my channel.

Looks good so far, very straight indeed.. I do hope you find the proper stock wheels and set her back down to the proper ride height. It amazes me to this day the number of people who still don't get that a lift kit dose not clear taller obstacles. Only increasing the height of the wheels/tires does that, it's then that a lift may, but not always be needed to clear the tires and fenders.

It looks like the lift is just a body lift which would be easily removed. This thing was probably beautiful when it was new

Im working on my 77 w100 with the 318 just got it running after sitting for 10 years or so on my dad's friend farm.

Where does everyone find these old trucks in such good condition? I'm in highschool and can't even find a tin grille.

It's an 80....79 just said Dodge on tailgate...80 they started Ram. Also center part of grille, blacked out, and that Ram decal on fender, was 80

@@JasonTx05 If you come up with a price post it up, I'm thinking about starting up a hobby/side hustle of buying and selling older pickups. Pick them up when the price is in my favor, clean them up get them rolling for as cheap as I can get away with. I'll drive it around for a few months until something else catches my eye for a good price and get it up to snuff and when its road worthy I'll sell what I was rolling with at the time. But I dont want you to sell it of course cause I'd like to see you keep video updating your progress.
