Just inherited one of these from my father in law, amazing machines. Its pretty clean for its age but nothing like this one, absolutely flawless.

Beautiful, unlike the trash on the roads today. What a shame American car manufacturers ended up wanting to be like Nissan and Toyota, they gave up being creators of unique grand American automobiles and downgraded to be just one of many cheap, plastic car makers, creating designs that are almost indistinguishable from cheap imports. Sad.

The sad thing is that imports out sale American cars that's why they went to toyota n nissan style or cheap copy style

@@joshlira7591 Also says tones about the individuals who purchased imports. I have never picked a vehicle because of fuel economy, thats sorta last on my list, a perk perhaps, design and reliability and where its made matters to me.

I just bought my first school car a few weeks ago. I bought a 79 Lincoln just like this one, but it was black. It’s a damn nice car. I would pick an old car any day over the new American cars. Absolutely no characteristics to today’s cars at all

@@fordcobraboss427 design and reliability are crucial but I'm not picky on whether it's made in America or not. There are a lot of solid, reliable and good looking cars made outside of this country. Not all imports are crap, especially compared to American cars today. In fact, alot of American vehicles built today aren't that great either. Hopefully the trends change and we get back to solid and classy and not plastic and cheesy.

I owned a 1979 white Lincoln Mark V. All white leather interior. Payments were 179.00 a month. I want it back.

Unfortunately that is very true. They should just start making them again. Most of the concept pictures I've seen look sick. Wouldn't be hard to sell a few thousand a year I think. Just enough to keep the legend going.

This was one of the last times in which we as Americans had pride in what we would give our public...and much more respect for ourselves as opposed to the here and now!!

The 1979 only came with the 400 V-8 which that year was detuned to 159 Horsepower ....a rather lame engine compared to the superior big block 460 V-8. But overall condition is more important as most Mark Vs are now well worn with high mileage.
