The biggest problem would be parts replacement. In hindsight, it would be like owning a European luxury car.

My father owned a Coupe de Ville til I was in my twenty's. Every year a new one he strayed once to a El Dorado. We drove his last Coupe from Ohio to Las Vegas, such a nice ride. I'll always have fond memories of those cars and times. They don't build 'em like they used to.

I was 19 when those were new and working on a military base , naval officers drove cars like that we would service them and road test them ! Excellent job for a teenager Cadillac was King !

This car brings back memories for me. Senior year in high school I owned a ‘79 coupe de ville. It was my first car that I bought from a relative. Cerulean Blue Firemist with matching top and interior with the wired wheels. By the way there is a power trunk release in the glove box.

Interior color is cedar. The elk grain vinyl roof as Cadillac called it is cedar firemist.

Antique Saddle is the name of the interior. I have an 80 Coupe with the same interior. The top, I can't recall off the top of my mind..probably same as the interior.

Greg - I never saw a 1979 coupe de Ville with fender skirts. Was that a factory or dealer option?? Beautiful car!

Neither. It's aftermarket. I had similar skirts that I came across but never used them and sold them
