The only thing you can do with this car is send it to the FORD museum in Detroit.

My grandfather had one of these in navy blue. RIP Grandpa. He worked for Ford and grew up and lived in Detroit, as did my mom, uncle, aunt and grandma, and your accent reminds me of them all. It's actually bringing tears to my eyes. Thank you.

Well we don't find them that often! But we have a team of guys that all they do is travel across the country looking for these gorgeous cars. We go through a lot and every once and a while they find a diamond in the rough and we bring it back here! :D

"Coolest car back in the day" more like the coolest car today.

i got that same ride at home. now it doesn't look that good, but i got some work to do. still starts and runs. i swear it starts better then my other two.

Man my old man had one of those. Was cleaning out some dressers and came across a photo of me and him on my 1st day in school, I still remember that car, the smell of the leather seats, the buttons on the rear door. Pretty sure there was an ashtray in the back too. It was a beauty.

I never thought I'd start getting a thing for Malaise Era cars, but that Continental is a beauty! I'm sure Bill at Autohaus Motors in Florida would love to have gotten his hands on this car! He'd definitely profile it on his Curious Cars channel!

This is my DREAM CAR. wish i had the money not only to buy it. But mainatin it to factory specs. Because anything less is a SIN.

I just traded my 87 5.0 mustang to one of my buddys who traded me a 78 Lincoln like this with only 30000 km on it ive been in and out of the house today cant stop looking at it its pretty dirty from sitting but its in amazing condition reason for trade my buddy baught it from the original owner for his wife she drove it a couple times and decided that it was too big for her my buddy texted me and asked about trading and i didnt even hesitate

My uncle had one back then. It was an awesome car that was more like a mini van. Could move your apartment with one of these.

The only problem with this car and many big american luxury cars during the 70s was it used up so many gas I remember I had a rich friend who's dad bought a lincon in london and this was during the petrol crisis but a lincon took 12 miles to the gallon!

Im gone enjoy my 78 and I'm way younger than that...o don't worry I'm not putting huge rims on

Hmmm, it does have a V8, but it doesn’t make much power since it’s a 1978 model and ITS SO HEAVY! Lincoln is a Luxury brand, but honestly the Germans fair better.

This one is better than sex.

Except no. Cars like this are hated, but to today’s generation (18yo replying) these yachts are one of the coolest old cars. I had a 77 Marquis, and now have a 72 Cutlass supreme. Luxury is in. The muscle cars of yesteryear aren’t considered fast anymore so why even try? Get one of these babies and cruise.
