Got this really nice naturally reliced 77 PBass in to shop, so I had to document it. It didn't need much work, but somehow I managed to produce a 30 minute video anyway.

Wow you sure work fast..lol. I really like how you were able to fix the pic guard using the heat gun👍🏻.

Slightly deadened Chromes are a thing of beauty. Can't understand why he'd want to replace them.

I agree. However, my client wanted lighter tension than traditional flats, which is why he chose the Thomastiks. He was happy with the result.

Hi, I’m curious about the screw hole in the centre of the pickguard. You point to it at about the 27:26 mark and say something, but even slowing it down I can’t make out what you said. Not all P-Bass pick guards have that hole. Is it just to stop it bulging in the centre? Or a location point for a tug bar? Good video and cool bass. Cheers.

I hadn’t seen that before, but there was a screw hole original pickguard, the aftermarket one and in the body. I ended up putting a screw in it.

@@pinckneycustomshop Thanks, the reason I ask is because I got an old Fender Custom Shop pickguard to put on the old Vester P-Bass I'm trying to resurrect and it has the centre hole. I've seen some online photos that show the hole in that location, but most don't have it. I guess, all in all, it's just another hole in the guard... 😄
