The most comfortable car I ever owned. Next was a 77 Pontiac Bonneville coupe. The Aspen was a great mid-size design, poorly executed by Chrysler, but no worse than other cars in that era. very reliable, though. The thing that killed them was rust - not mediocre build quality. Most cars were mediocre in the 70's. The things that failed were cheap and easy to replace. Over all the car made a lot of sense and were extremely popular,. I do miss mine sometimes. It was the perfect size, road like a flying carpet, was very quiet on the road, and had nice lines (think: poor man's Mercedes 300TD wagon). The engines, transmissions and rear ends were bullet proof.

Very nice Aspen wagon. It has some nice options on it like the light package, A/C, and cruise. The 318 is a nice upgrade too, but the Super Sixes were also great. The color is pretty unusual, don't see many. I have a '78 Aspen wagon with the Super Six and four speed overdrive. I love it.

Thank you! We actually grew quite attached to this car. It ran and drove excellent and, like you said, it had a lot of great options. It's probably one of our favorite cars to come through the shop.

Everyone knows what a station wagon is. They're embedded in pop culture.
