I spent my early days on a 23 and was dads pride and joy. It was a rocket with twin Merc 175's. Nice rig sir.

Awesome boat! I have a 20ft 1968 SeaCraft that we glassed in the back as well and slapped on a 4 stroke.

Nice to see a 40 yr old boat still working well and earning its living. That's how boats should be, a real lasting investment. I wonder how long she of the modern boats will last? it's certainly a valuable lesson that you don't need a brad new boat to succeed with fishing.

I think I would've made the motor mount larger and put 2 smaller outboards on it for safety in case God forbid the single outboard konks out. 2 identical outboards with separate wiring. But I'm sure you have a satellite phone and maintain that one very well. Beautiful boat!

I'm curious as to how effective the engine alternator is at charging the batteries; especially as you're running 5 batteries. I thought I'd be able to do this on my boat, but the engine alternator output is nowhere near adequate and this seems to be the case with most engines. Is the alternator output especially high on this boat, or ramped up in some way?

Well the charging system is set up where the alternator just charges the house batteries. Once they are fully charged, any extra juice flows to the trolling batteries. But the troll batteries will not get any juice if the house batteries need it as far as I understand it. This set up just helps keep the troll batteries in better shape, but definitely not enough to keep up with it if you are actively trolling hard with the troll motor.

It was a custom console from a company called Southern Charm. They have a few items listed in Boaters Catalog online but I've not been able to find that particular console again myself as people have asked

Was just wondering is it a 20 or 23 and is it going to be for sale anytime soon lol I'm looking for a master angler model but this is great to.

This is a 20, and not currently planning on selling her at this time. But they pop up every now and then, great hull!

At 6:45 is that a fish swimming by your boat? Sure looks like it to me.

If you were going to redo one you should have redone a Master Angler instead of a Seafarer model. The Seafarer model was a two-piece construction the master angler was a three-piece Construction.

Why does the stern squat like that?

Boat is a bit unbalanced after we added bracket, live well, and 4 stroke motor back there. Just a lot of stuff it wasn't originally designed for.

The troll battery had some corrosion on the terminal but it's just covered with a sealent to prevent any more corrosion. Actually been like that for a year still works great and it's not my house battery so won't get stranded if it dies just lose the trolling motor for the day.
