Love that someone respected the masterpiece on that bike ! The 2 stroke sound !
ALL the RDs are genius. So so good. This one is fantastic.
Loved the Kawasaki triples but this is way better all around bike. It is a forever bike for sure. I'm 66 & haven't ridden in a coins age but I'd wring that thing out like a wash rag!
She's a beauty! Such a fun bike to ride.
Had a blue one. It replaced a blue teardrop tank RD350. I preferred the 350.

I had a red/white 73,my cousin had the plumb colored 74. If you were light & a good rider you could embarrass the big dogs.
What a beautiful RD
Had an RD400F in the UK. Yellow and black. Wish I kept it...
Bought the same bike, same color, new in 1976 when I turned 16 years old. What a great bike. I miss it. It worked great when I weighed only 150. I need a bit more torque now. LOL All my friends had Hondas and thought they'd outrun me. I whipped the CL360, XL350, and my brother's TT500. I miss those days.
Unreal how nice that bike still is.
What a beautiful original bike👍
Damn! One Owner! Low miles. Never laid down....Definitely a Unicorn. Gorgeous shade of Green. My favorite 2 stroke that you had at your shop and museum, besides my own, was a...1979 Yamaha RD 400 Daytona Special in Orange and White. Droolworthy bike!
This thing is beautiful, my father owned a red and white one in the 80s. when I was a kid he would ride me around on the front with him. Great memories
When I was 19 years old I bought an brand new identical Green RD400 from my local yamaha dealer. It was my first brand new street bike and man was it fast. After a few years I sold it and bought a kawasaki GPZ550. The street bikes of the late 70's and early 80's are still my favorites.
One of my favorite bikes all time. This might be a better bike but the colors on the 73&74,red & white or plumb color on the 74 were too cool. 6 speeds & away you go!!!
One day I’m going to come see your museum. Hopefully next fall I’ve been wanting to go visit east coast and your museum is the main attraction to me
I remember working after school in the early 80s as a lot boy at my local kawasaki dealership in cali seeing these bikes come through. Love em! This is why I watch your channel.
The two stroke power band is like waiting for the turbo to spool ). Better have both hands on the bars )

Best feeling ever!
When l was 17 and they came out it was my dream bike and there were a lot of fast 2stroke's and I had one, ported it KN filters Fresco pipes and for a 400cc 2stroke it was fast very fast you couldn't keep the front wheel down, brakes were a little sketchy, but that is gorgeous and needs leaving stock, like you say you won't find another one only original once.
GOTTA be one of the best on this rock 🌎
Wow what a time capsule ❤️
1:51" you can only find one once in a blue moon" ironic that only a few days ago we had a legitimate blue moon and just so happens to be that you guys have one in pristine condition. Now that's some Cosmic s*** right there. 💫
I have one just like it. Same color but with a small number upgrades like different handle bars and grips. Still runs perfect after all thses years. Been in the family since it was new.
Not sure about the year but my friend has one that’s white and maroon he let me take it for my license in 1980 . Great bike I tried buying it from him in the 90s his might be a 73 all stock . Great bike !
Wow! That is amazing!
Stunning love it
The paint job on that rd is deadly !
I just got back from Malta, I saw tonnes of vintage bikes there, like an ancient 50 year-old Suzuki 100cc 2 stroke with a pressed steel swingarm, still being ridden daily!!!! Ken, if you are thinking of doing a resto-mod world tour, that place would be a good place to start. : D
That is a fire bike
So bad ass it's ridiculous. Absolutely a timeless, iconic machine.
I had a 74 DS7 250 twin….that was a fun bike
Front and rear disc nice, whoever gets this enjoy
My friend had that same year 400 orange paint job, it had a lot of miles on it. That was back in the early 80s, it was clean but not that clean.
I had a mint red one apec11 pipes friend had this one he bought new in 1976 original owner
I have one. Original down to the leather key chain. 2600 miles. Purchased new in 76 by my grandfather.. sweet sweet bike to go play on

Very nice!
I had the 400E my mate had the 400F....which was the pre LC.. So I then had the 350LC which was brilliant..
So, I just bought a 77 model. 400D. I've never even seen stock pipes on any RD I've ever owned. And, I've had a few. The previous owner stripped it down, to powder coat the frame. I need to re- assemble her. Stock everything. I'd never seen a stock airbox or filter. steve
rd 400 was great machine. 350 was also
Gorgeous!

I always wanted a Super Daytona RD400 (I guess it would be around 1977-1979). When I was 18, I bought a used 1975 RD350 for $600 in 1982. I've seen you show one here on your channel. I should've never let it go. Love your videos.
More power twin cylinder two stroke. If we are allowed to ride motorcycles in heaven then this would be it for me. Cheers
Not my choice colors but still a dream bike! I'd do my best to maintain this bike as did the original owner. Definitely a gem Sr!
I want this!!
I had an RD 350 in high school I think it was Orange
What was I thinking when these were new an plentiful, wish I'd bought one an rode the wheels off of it
And it’s green yer killin me🤦♂️
I HAVE THE EXACT SAME BIKE IN CANADA. IT'S FOR SALE!!!
