Had one back in the 80s.Wicked power and loved to watch my dad ride it.He never looked more happy blasting around on it.Great bike and nice video.

I had a DT175 too. Rode many-a-miles on that old horse.

One of my buddies had a 74 DT 400 we rode the wheels off of as teenagers! Id love to have one now! Not fast but and absolute blast!

Neighbor had the 400. I had a 1979 DT 125 growing up.

My buddy has one of these . Old but works great still.

mid 70's, a neighbor kid had a DT360 with a jug kit and a pipe with mx knobby's, and when he got it on you would get pelted with small chunks of rubber !!

Hello Kaplans. My dad had one of these and we built it. Also put in new white suspension set up for a 200#er. I couldn't ride it until I could start it. I started it at 13. I also had a 78DT175. Rode the tires off that thing! Good ole days long gone by.

Enduros are Freedom for real! Even with my Supermoto i can get to way more Places than a Streetbike... Can't wait till i finally finish my DT 400 MX :)

I traded a 72 360 on a new 75 400. They are a brute of a bike. Bulletproof!

Bought the exact same bike in 1975 from D&D CYCLE in Norman, OK. Thanks for the flashback and congratulations on a fine example of one!

When I was in HIgh School (1969-73) I owned a Kawasaki 175 Bushwacker and a Yamaha 360 (I put a low expansion chamber and street tires on it), both 2 Stroke, Single Piston, Enduro Street and Trail type. We used Blenzalll in the 2 stroke oil tank for a unique smell.

Loved the Yamaha 1978, DT Line Up...My first introduction to 2 strokes and dirtbikes. Been a love affair ever since, and I'm 51 years young now. Lol

Your enthusiasm is outstanding. I enjoy every vudeo. This bike is a pearl.

Connecting rod sound is very distinctive in old 2 strokes.

Wow, another beauty from the past, in 1975 I was a 16 yr. old sophomore in high school wishing I, like many others , was Brad Lackey or Roger DeCoster, riding & racing my 71 Yamaha and 73 CZ was the only thing on my mind, and chasing girls, lol…anyhow, thanks again for sharing another great bike from the past, I truly appreciate it man. I had the dt 175 in 1978 rode the arse off it. Always wanted the dt 400. This one is a peach.

In England after 40 years old we don't have to tax or M.O.T The bikes just insure them. I own a muscle bike and a cruiser am seriously after the dt 400.

Salesman back in 1976 tried to sell me a leftover 75 SC500. I took it for a ride and tried doing small maneuvers I'd do in the woods. Between it being only 4spd and 500CCs it was too responsive. Ended up with a IT250

You can keep the millage down on the odometer when you keep the front wheel off the ground! 😁

The yellow tank was one of my favorites colors too My uncle had one for years Don’t know what ever happened to it

The can am tnt 175 smoked it at the drag strip. Dirt bike magazine test.

I sure love mine.had mine for 24 years.they are real torque generators😊

I had one just like it back in 76.I used to ride it to school and then to my job.I had to replace both the rear shocks from jumping it over to big of jumps for that bike.My next Bike was a Suzuki RM 250 which was made for jumping!

very nice bike, there's a couple local to me they want 2-3500 the one looks like it would clean up pretty nice, found a decent 175 with title and 4400 miles been kept in the family since new may scoop it up

Nice work on this classic enduro. My buddy used to have one of these while my friend, his younger brother, rode a DT175. Great, fun bikes.

One of my dream motorbikes. In germany, this was sold with a restriction to 17 HP, so it was not too popular, as the DT250 delivered the same performance (or lack of it) for a considerable lower price. Meanwhile, these things are highly sought after collector's bikes and cost a fortune.

Kenny, Kenny, Kenny. I have said it before, and I will continue to say it every time I see it: Where is your helmet? C'mon brother. I don't want to lose you to some silly accident. Love the bike. Take care and ride safe.

I wish Japan made these style street trail again. I have a KLX 250 2016 looks like plastic power ranger stuff. These were all so classy in 70s chrome and different colors . Kawasaki KE,Yams Dt, Suzuki TS, Honda XL. Rode ok on trails and street.

I had a 1978 DT125 as a young kid, these things were indestructable gas tank looked identical to this one, they are fun bikes, that 400 is pretty cool ,verygood lowend torque excellent shape 👍

What a beaut. Never had a chance to ride a 360 or 400. Did they have a plastic front fender k. These? Looks like the aftermarket one I have on the ct175 to run a 21 inch.
