This is great! Thanks for posting! I have seen these clips before but not on YT, I think it was on some foreign site but I cant remember where now, but they had a few clips from NOTW. I wish they would bring this competition back or one like it! :)

Great video. Looks like they are throwing on an oak board. Every now and then you can see the water squeeze out from around where the dart point enters the board. I threw on an oak board during a league match and it is definitely interesting to say the least.

Elm board, I preferred throwing on an Elm board. Only the tip of the point stuck in and left more space for the rest of the dart. We all used brass darts then.

Hi S Mcque. Firstly, great that you posted this footage, thank you. I was wondering, do you have (or know of where I could get hold of) the matches from the round before the QF's from '74? I'm not too sure if they were classed as 'prelims' but the match I'm specifically looking for is Paul Gosling vs John Moore. Thanks.

You haven’t a clue mate. One of the greatest commentators ever, Dave Lanning. Called darts right up until 2010s. He is heritage.
