When I was in my 20s, this Corolla with a 2TG engine was my dream. That little engine with those two side draft carburetors just make an intoxicating sound under load. I just couldn't afford it. Very nicely done.

Awesome car! I'm restoring a 1982 Corolla Tercel, money won't reach to do a fancy restoration like this one but I hope to get it looking pretty well new!

Owned a 71 2tc when i was 20 it was a 4 speed corolla. Loved that car best car i ever owned.

BEAUTIFUL CAR!

My first car was a '74 Corolla SR5: 2TC, headers, Isky solid lift cam, 4 barrel carburetor, traction bars, widened rear SR5 rims out back 13x5. Stock red lines down the front seats, stock fender flares, MSD, shortened shifter, Porsche rear view mirrors, painted gloss black rims w/ beauty rings, gloss black motor carriage, polished valve cover. Stock turquoise paint. RPM gauge set above my steering column to tell me when to shift. I miss her. She would've shown nicely on Jay Leno's Garage. My pride and joy back then. The only things that I wish that I had on her was an air conditioner and power steering.

When Toyota Corolla was commercialized in 1973, I was a high school student in Japan. I wasn`t impressed with this vehicle so much at that time because Toyota Corolla was so common. But 46 years have passed since then, and I`m surprised that Toyota Corolla is so cool.

I had a 1974 Corolla with the same factory flares - but it had larger bumpers. The 1973 bumpers gives the body a cleaner look.

I had a stock Corolla 1600 I believe is either a 72 or 73 back in high school in the late 70s. I got so much BS for that car, friends saying that it sounds like it was running on a rubber band, but it was the best car I ever owned. Points plugs and condenser in the thing ran like new.

Had this cars twin ,about 15 yrs ago killer driver and awsome gas mileage but mine was stock except the carb mod to a 32/36,Weber ,had a 38/38 out law Weber on my 1980 yoga 4x4
