I came across this old mustang a couple weeks ago and decided to see if we could rescue it from this cow field. Come along as I fight off the cows and donkeys while I try to get this thing running!!

Why is it so satisfying to see a car that has been sitting so long being resurrected and driven home with a couple of days work? Love this type of content!

I've revived a few efi vehicles from 15-20+ years of sitting. Sensors and whatnot don't really go bad from sitting as long as the hood has been shut from the elements. As long as rodents haven't gone crazy they'll usually fire right up. Almost guaranteed the fuel pump is dead and tank is rusty, but that's typical.

The rocker nuts will loosen up over time and cause a lifter tap sometimes. If you pull the valve covers while it is running and loosen each individual nut till it starts tapping, then tighten it 3/4 of a turn or until it stops tapping, you can fix it sometimes. If it keeps tapping even when fully tightened you can get a slightly longer push rod to compensate and fix the problem. Nice car. That's the grande model. I have a 72 coupe with a 302.
Simply amazing. That's the difference on what human been was capable to built in the past and the chesty things we manufacture today. I had a Toyota Land Cruiser made on the 75, and still had screws on it that had that brand new color from factory.
