Really nice build, but my how times have changed. In 2000, I built an almost identical 1978 CJ5. Frame off paint (same red exterior), Remanufactured AMC 304ci V8. Added Mallory ignition, high flow breather and Magnaflow dual exhaust on stock manifolds. 3 in. lift with 33x12.5x15 tires on similar polished alloys. Black carpet, high back black buckets, custom console, 500W Alpine stereo. Twin tube rear bumper. Custom front bumper with 10k Warn winch and mounting plate for collapsible tow hitch. New BestTop full top and also a bikini top. For a while I was a God to all the teenage boys living in my neighborhood! Played with it for 3 years and sold it for $15k. Apparently, the market value has moved up substantially in 20 yrs!
