@@ciaranburke3243 its a phenomenon, people still buy cars from the 40’s but not many, creating a lack of demand and low values. my 14yr old likes teslas and mclarens not mk1 mexicos.
Remember watching the RAC rally on TV at an early age and loved the mk1 Escort. Always wanted one,even a bog standard L spec (which I’ve just seen you have one in the same auction) Shame they moved the filler cap from the side to the rear pillar,leaving a red spot in the white stripe, but that’s just a minor niggle. Lovely car and I bet it goes for more than the estimate
watching these values plateau last 5 yrs. the people that loved these in the 70’s and that were buying them are dying off, i like them but have zero nostalgia for one. poor investment at this point
