What a Dreamboat! 45,783 actual miles. Loaded with accessories. I drove this car around including a drive by birthday parade, it's just like floating on a cloud. You better not be tired, you might just fall asleep behind the wheel. It functioned like a new car.
EXTERIOR: The body is in excellent condition with no signs of rust or damage. It has been repainted one time in it's beautiful original Antigua blue color. It is polished out smooth and glossy. It has the optional hard parade boot. The chrome is original and overall shiny straight. The bumpers, mirrors, stainless moldings, hubcaps are excellent. The windshield is crystal clear. Convertible top is white and in excellent condition. Door jambs are clean, weatherstrips are excellent.
INTERIOR: Sharp looking white with blue trim. Interior is completely original and considering it's 47 years old, white and in a convertible, I think it's held up remarkably well. It is genuine leather upholstery. It is a split seat, power on each side. Has fold down armrest. Door panels are excellent. The dash panel is in pristine condition- nothing's faded, cracked, damaged or worn. I noticed the clock is still working. It has an Am-Fm stereo with 8-track. Carpet is excellent. Has blue seatbelts.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Huge 472 power plant runs as smooth as a mouse in slippers. Motor compartment is very well preserved original. The air conditioning system has been serviced and updated to R-134 freon.

Land yacht- ocean liner on wheels- luxo barge- Detroitosaurus... and damned beautiful.
That car is the epitome of luxury. It’s said Rolls Royce could be driving down the bumpiest roads and you’d never feel it. These Eldos don’t take a back seat to any make. I remember uneven railroad tracks in those year of Cadillac and you didn’t feel imperfections at all. Like you say in the video, smooth, steering, ride , everything is smooth.

Downside to smooth suspension is its penchant for leaning around the corners. But then again, its not meant to be driven hard around corners

I Owned a 73 Coupe DeVille blue with the top and a 75 Eldorado sky blue with a white top and I love them wish i had them cars today but a and you stuff but still I'd rather take that El Dorado over a Lamborghini any day
"A mouse in slippers" well l've never heard that one before Jay. As you say , the ultimate criuser. It's wider than most of our roads in Devon, England. These are front wheel drive? I think someone local had one of these back in the '80's. A rare sight indeed. Thanks Jay .

I think you’re right. Although 472 was still being used in 73’ it was for Deville. Eldorado and Fleetwood had the 500. The whole 235 horses.

The 472 cubic inch Cadillac engine has been known to do a million miles it's been done in a Coupe DeVille and a sedan DeVille twice already it's done a million miles with his regular oil changes there's only 10 known engines in America they can get a million miles this is one of them they can do it is a known fact that if you have a car since purchase and you do a million miles in it you can trade it in for a new one at no cost Toyota honors it all the time look it up it's being done today I know for a fact it's engine has done it in two different cars with regular maintenance and oil changes you can achieve a million miles on this perfectly made engine
Back in the day I owned a 1972 Eldorado - triple black with a power sun roof - if Darth Vader had a car, this would have been it. Wonderful car, drove it to death.

Ummmmmm, from 1970 to 1976 the Eldorado only came with the 500 cubic inch V-8, never had the 472.
I will not even consider a vehicle made in the last fifteen years... no driver comfort at all in the latest cars.

Hi I thought the 73 Eldorado had the chrome fake vents on the sides right behind the both doors ...giving it the waistband look ...has this car been modified to look like a newer model?

Repaint lowers it's value. Not worth $30K
the appreciation of these cars has been declining for 10 years. Boomers are approaching 70 and are net sellers. its too big and gets no gas mileage; cant use it as a daily car and may not even fit in most garages. now is the time to collect japanese and european cars, not american.
