Great to see these little cars still getting around. We had two N600s and one 1300 in Australia. Thank you for sharing!

I had a 64 Plymouth 6 cylinder 3spd on the floor, my brother was driving his friend's Honda 600. Had to do a stop light race. Suprising finish was even..

That's probably the nicest I've seen. They are mostly lawn ornaments now.

Some fun facts for you since I owned one in 1976 and now have one that is undergoing restoration. The model is "AZ-600 Coupe" and there was a Sedan version as well that looked amazingly similar to the Minicooper. The engine is actually a 2-cylinder 600cc air-cooled motorcycle engine - many parts for that engine are from the Honda 750-4 motorcycle engine, so I would get parts from the motorcycle shop. The top speed is 72mph and is simply a result of the top speed of the engine and the gear ratio. My first AZ600 was in Detroit, MISome fun facts for you since I owned one in 1976 and now have one that is undergoing restoration. The model is "AZ-600 Coupe" and there was a Sedan version as well that looked amazingly similar to the Minicooper. The top speed is 72mph and is simply a result of the top speed of the engine and the gear ratio. My first AZ600 was in Detroit, MI, and it was only 4 years old when I got it and there was severe rust on the wheel wells and the strut mounts. Also, that car was never meant for cold weather because during the two winters that I had it in Detroit, it would blow an engine gasket and spray oil everywhere! That happened because when the engine was below, say 25°F, it would start heating up unevenly and crack a seal. I eventually sold it and later in 2000 I saw one at a car show in San Diego, CA. The guy who owned it also owned a few others so I bought one of his and had it shipped to me in Minnesota. BTW, you mentioned driving into the back of an Odyssey. That would actually work if the Odyssey did not have a roof. The AZ600 is less than 48 inches wide and would fit into a pickup truck bed if need be. It does seat 4 people. In 2000 my kids were young (smaller) and my wife and I and the kids would go to various events in that car. It always got lots of looks. Honda had a 1-cylinder 300cc version that was only available in Japan during the 1960s. Honda only sold the AZ600 Coupe and Sedan cars from 1970 to 1972 then replaced them with the far more capable Honda Civic. Part of the reason was that starting in 1973, the AZ600 engines would not pass newly enacted US emissions standards and the cars themselves could not meet the US crash standards. It is a really fun little car to drive. In 1977 I drove my AZ600 to the Catskill Mountains in New York and back to Detroit. Along the way, since CB radios were very popular back then, I had a fun conversation with a trucker who gave me the CB handle Kamakazi Pilot. 😄 It made the whole trip, about 2,000 miles total, with no problems and my gas mileage was about 55mpg freeway and 45mpg city. That's all I know. Thanks for taking me on a nostalgic ride in a fun little car. Incidentally, you can find videos from Japan where they would race these little cars - amusing to watch.

Beautiful car. Does the Z600 sleep in the garage or do you keep it under a cover?
