Looks like a nice clean original car. Rare to find one of these in good shape, if you can find one at all. These were well-built cars that were known for their smooth ride. I had one years ago, an ex-State Police cruiser with a 429 Police Interceptor. It was pretty awesome on the highway with a lot of power and it's a car I wish I could have back today.

My dad had a 72 Galaie500 but a hard top dark green, but exact same car. 351 2Brl engine. Up in Canada if you had 4 good snow tires on those old FORDS, you never got stuck or went in the ditch even doing 70mph in a foot of snow and heavy freezing rain.

You could get a 6 cylinder engine in Custom, Custom 500 and Galaxie 500. The 302 V8 was optional only in Custom and Custom 500. I'm pretty sure electric clock was standard in the LTD. There were also various Galaxie 500 option packages available during 1972 that brought the level of equipment up from the basic car. Most '72 Galaxie's I see have power disc brakes.
