Just Beautiful! I'm from the UK and many years ago was lucky enough to own a white 71 Mach 1, one of THE most outrageously beautiful cars your country ever produced. I always wanted the Boss Mustang!

In my opinion, the most beautiful Mustang design.

I had a '71 Mach 1 was a 351C-4V with the NACA hood. I always loved the look from the front but I hated the view from the rear. Mine lacked the wing on the deck lid and without it, my Mach 1 looked like fat maverick. Overall I like the look of the '71-'73 sports roof mustangs with the NACA hood but I always wanted a '70 which I bought in '96 and finally finished the restoration in 2018. I wish I could afford both!

A rare bird here. Interesting underhood details in comparison to the 71 Boss. Car and Driver tested a 72 solid lifter 351 R code Mustang (referred to as "HO"). It was a 15 second car.

See last year a Mach 1 Mustang in Germany (1972) with 429 cbi 7 L Cobra Jet V8. Love it, Sounds so great. Regards from Germany!

Such a beautiful car. My 71 Mach1 was stolen from a mechanic shop a week ago. I've had the car for 20 yrs. Half my life. It was an M code car, 351 4v 4spd car. I'm the second owner. I'm absolutely devastated. My first car was a 73 Mach1. These cars are all I've ever known. Don't know what to do from here. I love these cars, but just m.j takes me want to cry when I see one now.

Nice to see the correct details going into the car. See too many of these being sold as "real" mach 1's when they are just fastbacks or real mach 1's that have been have extensive work only to use wrong parts for the model year. Too bad about the original motor being gone, but not surprising. I'm sure it still got what, $25-35k? I was a former MCA 71-73 judge. Good job. And yes, that R code. If I recall 300 or so were dropped in across all bodystyles? The last BOSS that isn't officially a BOSS.

I went to my aunt's cousin's house and her cousins boyfriend had this car i was like OMG NO WAY And the seats where red and black very sporty look it was honestly very beautiful

351 Cleveland became the workhorse for Ford in the early 70's because of it's breathing capabilities. It accepted most of the bolt on smog gear imposed by the gov't better than most other engines. Of course, it still was robbed of power. The smog gear came off pretty easy, though. (As shown on this car!)

Officially known as the HO engine….only in ‘72 and exceedingly rare…was not advertised. Basically a boss 351 with less CR. So awesome. Guess the original to this car was blown up…too bad

The R code in 72 is actually a monster, a detuned Boss 351!

My friend father had one of these back in the day he rebuilt the 351c That car was a monster ,What many dont realize is the 351c is b one b of the best engines wver built with a new components and EFI setup or just plain carburetor this engine can produce 500-700 hp

I have this exact same car in my garage and it was my grandpa and he left it in our garage and it looks shiny no Damage it's just the inside it has some spider webs and dust and it does not want to start up

I bought a new 72 Mach 1 351C, 4 barrel 4speed 373 gear car, I ordered it, the ram air was not available on a 4 barrel car. I don't think there was a R code car that year. I bet the car here was a original 2 barrel car with 2 barrel heads. I also had a 70 Mach 1 it was rated at 300 hp I think the 72 was 266 hp for the 4 barrel engine.

Greg is roughly 5'11" and about 230 lbs so any car he fits into you'll fit fine!
