Nice combo! I really wanted to go big block with mine, but the g3 hemi stuff was intriguing and it was hard to pass up the timing of the deals, so hopefully i end up happy with my choice. Have a great year as well!

That alternator won’t work with the Holley but super cool build

Hey, can you tell me why? I'd rather solve it now before trying to get into it. I'm new to the Holley efi stuff as I mentioned in the video.

Im very interested in the old setup, as someone who has a 72 duster and im getting into the old stuff since my 05 ram has snowballed into this crazy project because i slapped a 75mm turbo on it. I'm wanting to do i mild sbd nitrous setup as i will be driving this car often. I found alot of crazy n/a setups but many aren't very streetable so i would like to do a more street friendly build with that offset of a little spray.

I hear ya. Mine was unintentionally mild really, as I choked the combo big time with lower compression and an oldddd bigger cam with lazy ramps. Engine only cranked 165psi, and speaking with some sbm head gurus i was leaving 60-70hp on the table with cam and compression. So I can definitely say, dont skimp on your head, cam and compression if you can swing it, as it will really help. Any specific details you want, im willing to share.

I was thinking to bump my compression up to 9:5:1 or even 10. Some where I can still run pump gas and as for heads. I'm not 100% on set yet but I am looking into edelbrock heads with tti 1 5/8 headers. I'm still in the early stages of figuring out exactly the right route as right now I'm fixing things I found wrong with the car and making improvements on its drivability and reliability. But I'm curious on the nitrous system you ran. Was it just a plate?, wet kit? And did you run a system that wound ramp in the spray or was it just hit and go?

@@AlexMartin-uq7pbIt was a wet system, NOS cheater plate kit and i ran pump 94 octane on the nitrous as well. No dedicated fuel system, just a second regulator and made sure I flowed the fuel side correctly and was safe on the tune up. Shaved more then tenth with a .63 jet in the plate and 60' footed 1.28s. If filling nitrous wasnt so expensive where I live I would have stayed with it. Hope that helps

Starting a small block nitrous build for my duster. Can you share some details on the old set up? Block mods, pistons, rods, comp, etc. Info on nitrous sbms is hard to come by from people that have actually done it. Thanks a lot.

Did you have to move/trim the steering column to clear the valve cover?

It was VERY close, but so far just trimming the valve cover in that area is sufficient. If I find its still an issue I may move the steering column over ever so slightly, but I'm thinking it should be okay. The outer sleave on the column i trimmed back years ago when I first put a small block in the car, so that was helpful.
