It took awhile but we basically did a minor rebuild on this old truck right where it sat in the dirt and weeds and it's finally roadworthy again!!

It sure figures if she's going to give up ANYWHERE on the journey, there's NO questions it'll be directly in the middle of an intersection! She fought you the ENTIRE way that ol' Dodge sure did.. Great series though Chad, had a lot of fun recovering this one, thanks for taking us along!

u can adjust the bands in the trans should be bolts to tighten them change ur shift and a modulator adjustment will help it for sure
Nice. Remember to check fluid in Torqueflites idling in neutral only.
What a cool old truck
I think ole Dude will be the 1st in the new shop. You seem to have a passion for it.
Thank you Chad for the hard work you do to provide us with fun and entertaining videos to watch! You worked your butt off on that dodge. I can't work on stuff like I used to because of health reasons but I get to do it vicariously through you watching your videos. God bless you Chad! Keep on keeping on!! 👍 🇺🇲
Iam living vicariously. Life long mechanic and disabled now. I truly look forward to the weekly video, especially long ones.

@@ThisNThatGarage great vids.. i have friends that anything 4 yrs old,,is old.. i have a 62, 75, 82,. trucks..& 73 car..
You might be able to fix the horn right, because at some point the steering wheel should be removed to repair the steering column. Obviously it shouldn't twist when the shifter is moved. Hole in exhaust looks like an easy fix. Bunch of little things to plug away at yet. Doin' a great Job!
Glad to see the D100 running again. It's amazing how a truck that hasn't run in 34 yrs could run so strong. Great job as always. By the way ole Dude should be the first project in the new shop.
The horn blowing when you turn is a safety device. People don't use turn signals so the horn blows as the notification.😂
Cool ole dodge for sure. Lol, it looks orange in the vid, id have to call that one general. Looks like Duke boys charger. Great work as always.
The horn is hilarious! Good Job Chad. Great work on a good old truck... Happy to see it back on the road.
You make dreams happen. Way to stick with it sir.
Looks like a a chrome and trim package truck! The trans had me stumped too. Great job on getting this ol’ girl back on the road. My condolences to the family, I hope they keep this truck in their family. Thanks Chad! God bless!!
Chad hi I am 71 yrs young can't wait for you to come on you remind me of me 20+30 years ago thank u young man
I really like watching your videos.Great job on the new shop. My ex-wife' father's family is from Clarksville.I think they owned Langfords Machine and Metal Works(think that's the name). The old Dodge looks and runs pretty good. Good job!

Great job Chad. That drive home was one for the books! Pinnacle of patience.
Hi Mr. Chad, the old truck looks good. I think you had mentioned, the owner had given it to his granddaughter, I hope she drives it with love in her heart, and never forgets him. Chad thank you for doing such a wonderful job, keeping his memories alive.
I so appreciate you showing how it really is working on old vehicles. You just have to keep on battling until its done. Not magically finished overnight like on TV shows.

Wyatt a great truck. It amazes me that a truck that's been sitting for 34 years and become part of the woods can still have that much potential. Definitely a keeper. Great job!

It's amazing how quickly they can recover from neglect!
Had a car that the horn would blow every time you turned the wheel. There was a bare spot on a wire for the horn inside the cap on the steering wheel. Just wanted to pass that on to you. Another great video. Please keep them coming.😊

I always look forward to your videos. Thanks also for the history that goes with it.
I'm surprised how well preserved that old truck was being back in those trees!
Great video and good work on that Dodge. I believe dude deserves the honors of being the first vehicle in your new garage.🎉
Beautiful old trucks in amazing condition
I bet you work on Dude first in your new garage, which looks really good.

Awesome revival of this Dodge! I love old trucks. It would be cool if the owner would let you get that GMC going too.
Great rescue Chad keep those videos coming me and my family love them take care god bless
Horn blows when ever it wants to? That’s just the truck being happy and saying goodbye to its resting place
Nice work on the truck sounds good great job 😊

another successful resuscitation of a nearly dead vehicle. Turned 70 the other day, been working on cars since I was 8-9 years old, was pretty good by age 12 at general repair, building engines at 14-15 years old, but I still learn things watching you. perseverance pays off. Masterful job getting it back on the road. As messy as it may be, you might have to put in another new tranny filter in case there was still stuff in the internals. My guess would be the dump truck. Good video as always.
Seeing that ole dodge come out of the tree row it was in sure was cool! Ole girl cleaned up nice, I bet that was a sharp machine back in 1971!
I've been searching for a sweptline forever here in nw Florida. My dad had one he loved and although he passed away when I was 8. I always wanted to do a tribute build for my dad. That's a very nice truck!!!!
the advantage of a Dodge not pumping in park helped police cars and Taxis because they sit and idle a lot less heat. but you just have to make sure you check idling in gear. the valve body can be modified to pump in neutral and usually when i rebuild one i make that mod mainly because another problem with not pumping in park when you first start in the morning or after being parked for a while when you first start and drop in gear it doesn't move. old timers like me have a habbit of when first starting move shifter to neutral for 15-20 seconds for the pump to fill then put in gear.
I can't believe you drove that out ... good on you sir.
Woo hoo! Happy Friday y'all! Usual pleasantries.... I hope everyone has had a great week, including a safe and very happy Independence Day & that you all have a wonderful wonderful weekend! 💙🙏🏼💙
Chad this was a GREAT one👍 I think the Spirit of the first owner was with you signaling his approval! I was thinking with your “luck” you would pull up behind a cop and the horns would let loose!😂🤣
I only have one thing to say I LOVE DODGE AND MOPAR THAY WILL ALLWAYS BE NUMBER ONE IN AMERICA TO ME .
The wire plug in on the modulator is loose, that's why it's kicking out of gear!!! Awesome truck!!!👍👍

Old Dude ,it's amazing the underside of the Dodge is in not that bad of condition for Rot .
I've been saying 'great googly moogly' all day. My new favorite phrase lmao.
Awesome to see the old truck back on the road after all these years!! I think your first project in the shop may be either your dads old car or that wagon that you picked up. Whatever you’ve decided to work on. We all look forward to seeing it.
You’ll probably have a old truck, maybe a Chevy or Ford in your garage roughly between 60 and 70 maybe a 52 who knows good luck. Awesome video. Have a good weekend.
What an awesome video! It's very entertaining and interesting watching you bring these beasts back to life. Great job!
Good job getting the old Dodge running and driving. I believe that I would drive it about 500 to 1,000 miles and then change filter and fluid again
No clue what you will work on next. I always enjoy what you do on your video.😃❤️🇺🇲
For that engine going from being locked up to running great with no smoking is very impressive. Chrysler LA series v8 is definitely something to consider
Keep up the good work! I bet its going to make someone a good running truck, are they going to fix it up more later? Keep the videos coming cant wait to see you work in the new shop soon!
It cleaned up pretty good! It honks because it’s saying “ Look at me I’m on the Zroad!!
Truck is just happy to be back on the road, and it wanted everyone else to know it. That’s the only explanation for that horn going off haha
Good job, Chad. The GMC has to be next!
You're always good for a laugh
Don't think I would have been brave enough to drag that one out of the woods, thanks sir.
As an old MOPAR Technician, I knew that pan filter was plugged! You just knew nobody took proper care of it after finding all those problems, although a lot were caused because of where it was sitting all those years. Chad, I don't know where your mind was on this as you forgot more on this job than ever! WAKE UP Man AND SMELL THE COFFEE!! Glad you stuck with this beast!

Great to see that old truck saved! Always liked the look of that body style!
Finally, someone that knows how to wash a vehicle. Seems like every you tube channel I watch where someone is presure washing a vehicle, they start at the bottom and work their way up. I was taught from an early age, you start at the top and work your way down. Congrats!
Yeah! Last time I tore my ceiling fan out I had to make sure the timing was set right. 😂
great job Chad 👍 Lockjaw 1st in garage gets my vote
Maybe put a big magnet on the outside bottom of the trans pan to catch metals. Back in the old days they didn’t run pan magnet’s 🧲 isn’t there a vacuum modular on those!! If so u can adjust w/straight screw driver
All effort you and time you put into it was worth it. Thanks for bringing it back to life. Truly amazing how it comes back after standing all that time. Thanks for the entertainment. Love your videos. Take care of yourself and God bless you mightily. From South Africa ❤🎉❤🎉
I love this. Another one saved from the weeds Chad. Brilliant job
Nothing like an old vehicle moving again after sitting for so long. The memories that old truck must have...

That seemed to be an up hill battle , just one thing after another. But with The Stick to it effort of Mr Chad it is now roadworthy . Thank you for the video , It taught me a lesson , and I owe that to You . Till next time , God Bless You and yours , Stuart in Canada ..
Gotta say it's running and driving can't really expect anything more, nice job
My dad told me a trick with those clamps. Put some pliers in a vice and drill a hole in the end of the "jaws". That way the clamp has a groove to stay in and it won't slip out.
That thing was a bear!! Love watching you work, the voices are hilarious, reminds me of myself when I'm wrenchin on my truck, only without all the curse words, LOL!! Betcha Dude gets first dibs on the garage.
when you were working under the truck on the front brake lines I noticed that there was a can of something on the top of the front right spring and it was blue in color watch your video and you will see it's not the shock but behind it somewhere near the motor mount
I finally figured it out!!!!!!!!!! THE CAMERA ANGLE OF YOU WHEN WORKING IS EXACTLY LIKE THE T.V. SHOW “HOME IMPROVEMENT” with Tim Allen “TAYLOR’S” NEIGHBOR “WILSON” never showed his face!!!!! This has bugged me for awhile until NOW IT JUST CLICKED in my mind🎯💯‼️
Awesome Chad love coming along for the ride with your content , totally enjoy what you do buddy and loved the sound of that engine, music to the ears, could listen to that all day!!!!
I have actually experienced the exact transmission issue this truck is having. It happened to me in my 1999 Toyota Camry. I was pulling out of work and onto the road, and it started slipping. Once I hit the first red light, it was like I was in neutral. As soon as this happened, it threw a DTC code relating to shift solenoids. I was able to shift it to park, shut the engine off, and when I started it back up, I was able to drive it back to the parking lot to be rescued. I never pulled the transmission apart, and I ended up replacing it with another one from the junkyard.
When I was 16 I bought one just like that same color and everything I had bucked seats and air conditioner that was in 1977 it was a good truck for me in my high school days
Awesome video of an awesome truck!!! Keep’em coming!!!
